Everythings the same... But somethings missing. [May. 25th, 2008|08:46 pm]
Well folks... It's actualy difficult for me to write this, but its now been thirteen days since my mixed labrador died. Tomorrow at about 14:36 will be the official two weeks.
It's weird coming home to the same surroundings and seeing my other dog in his place, but my baby's missing. Dont get me wrong, I love my grey hound that I rescued, but Morganna was definitley my baby. She was the first dog I ever got and I miss her alot.
I'm not sure I'll ever have another pet "put down". I was under the impression that they were injected, they fell asleep and then thier heart stopped beating very slowly. This isnt what happened with mine. She was injected and then died with her eyes open and let out a yelp that with the look in her eyes seemed to express betrayal.
I have been "reassured" that she didnt feel anything and she couldnt have felt betrayed. I hope this is true.
A friend of mine sent me a link to something called the "Rainbow Bridge" I hope this is true also.

RIP
Morganna G.

On a happyer note:
I went Larping about a week ago to take my mind off my pain for abit and had a fantastic time!
There was alot of role playing that was very interactive and involving. The boffer fighting was awesome and the story lines that got played out very immersive. My character (Raven) as of right now is dead. Having sacrifiiced himself with a few other worthy companions so that only a few had to suffer as opposed to the whole. I reckon that thats what companionship's about. I have to admit though, I think thats where more of "Drew" seeped into the character than there should have actulay been. I think that Raven might actualy have been more about saving his own skin, but its awesome the way it played out instead. On the battlefield, it was an extremley  emotional time when players came by and said something nice or just wept. Very emotional.
Peace for now.

A Catch up [Nov. 5th, 2007|09:59 pm]

Well all, I have fallen behind, I am sorry to say, but here ya go.  :)
I am still a Rocky Horror picture show virgin as it got canceled due to rain that never occurred. :(
I have been reading the World of Darkness and Changeling the Lost's core rule books. They seem easy enough.
I am having some problems at work with management. This is why I need to retire at an early age or work full time for meself.
My cats seem the last few days to not be able to climb in or out of my lap without using their claws. ARG!!
HAPPY BONFIRE NIGHT TO ALL!

Unfortunately for me, Halloween went by uneventfully for me.  :(  It wasn't horrible, but I spent the evening at an Irish pub with a friend. I actually ran into my Electronics instructor's son! I cant believe how small a world it is!
I have had to fight tooth and nail to get this up coming weekend off for Prophecy, which I cant wait for! I managed to get it. WOO-HOO!
I just hope I/ Raven don't die this weekend. I tried something, maybe a little sneaky, I reckon we'll see how that goes. :)
Peace for now and again, HAPPY BONFIRE NIGHT!

The Weekend [Oct. 22nd, 2007|10:20 pm]

Welcome back my avid fans!
I can tell those that are interested, that I went to Lake Compounce's "Haunted Graveyard" on Sat. night and it was great! It took about an hour to walk through and I got startled a few times. They put  on a fantastic show. A friend of mine in RI is supposed to be doing a garage haunted house. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Sun. brought about me working on the film with the rest of the group. I'm actualy pretty happy with the way some of my scenes turned out. I also did some audio work and script coaching with the other actors. It was alot of fun, but it meant I missed out on the Ren. faire.  :(   :(   I was really sad that we missed the faire as it turns out a few people from Prophecy were there and it would have been nice to see them.  :)  I suppose there's only just over two weeks till we all get together again anyway. WOO-HOO!!  I cant wait!!
I think this is it for now...
Peace for now.

Another day full of "The wonder of it all" [Oct. 17th, 2007|09:41 pm]
 'Ello All,
Well, as always, work wasnt great. I did however, get my last break at the end of the day, so I got out a half an hour early- and paid!
After work I went to my friends house to work on some of the editing for some of the shots we took lastnight. It's tedious and as I'm still learning it was interesting. It looks like one of the AD'S and our lead actress dont get along all that well, either that or they want each other REALLY bad.  ;)
Blockbuster recently changed thier mail/ instore exchange policy and I think it stinks!
I read one of my friends LJ posts and I'm abit jealous. They played one of my favorite games ever the other day and I havent played it in along arse time!
Anyway, I reckon this is enough babbling for now.
Peace to you all.

Guess, Its been awhile...Hmmm... [Oct. 8th, 2007|09:16 pm]
[mood | drained]

Well, to anyone who has been waiting around with baited breath since my last entry, I hope your not passed out!

Alot has probably happened  in the last seventy weeks since my last post (its been that long according to LJ)
I can tell you that I just helped out at Tales of Valor and it was an amazing time! The other cast members are mostly alot of fun. Especially this one kid named Paul. He's a really cool kid. He tends to be abit dramatic about my accent, but its amusing.  :)
It started off on Fri. eve in New London and having a good time at Oktoberfest (mine was mostly a charitiable donation as I dont really like beer, unless you count Coors light) . Once I left there I went the wrong way to the four H camp in Mass. where ToV is held and wound up two hours out of my way. Needless to say about a two hour drive, wound up being over four hours! Yuck!
Once I got there however, I jumped right into the mix and wound up going out as a Goblin type creature. Carl's "higher ranked Goblin type character" and I got into a squabble that due to rank and size, he wound up winning.  ;)
After this there was a few more smaller skirmishes and then it was off to bed.
This is the second time I was in the cabin I was in and didnt sleep well unfortunatly. I woke up a few times and it wasnt enough sleep.
However, Sat. brought a nice day and a great breakfast. After breakfast I went out as a barbarian and roleplayed with some people. It  was alot of fun! I wound up one other barbarian rather good while gathering up interest  from other players going through the plot I was supposed to.
I was sad that a few people from Prophecy II hadnt made it that I was hoping to see there.  :(
through a pretty good lunch, I harrassed a few more people as a barbarian and then changed into a creature for a small module. It was cool. I'm having a few problems adjusting to the fact that NPC's can fight each other. I was abit thrown off by the fact that we would fight each other "normally". Due to this, I wound up... "dead".  :(
After abit, there was a module involving some problem solving for a small group of players that interconnected with a major fight that  was going on elsewhere. All the cast who were not involved in the module were in the fight. Let me say, it was a HELL OF A FIGHT! it lasted close to an hour if not abit more. It was just recycling after recycling because the players inside the module couldnt get it correct right away. But that's ok as I said, it was an amazing fight! The players skills are awesome and the way the majority of them work together is great.
I got to "kill" about 3 or 5 of them. It was cool.  ;)
After the amazing fight and some time to recoup (due to the sun, heat and exercise) the cast needed someone to go around collecting "Spell packets". I volunteered and wound up going out as a "Were-Bear". It was really cool getting to play a "Skitish-were-bear". It gave me a chance to interact and roleplay abit with some of the players I might not neccisarily have gotten the chance to do so. They were helpful in the gathering and acted accordingly, I feel with a potentially wild and skitish creature, it was amazing!
After dinner, I wound up safely but exhaustedly so at home in CT.
Back to work sucked, but I'll get over it.
I cant wait for the next Prophecy II event!
I have started reading Changeling the Lost from World of Darkness and it seems really cool. I'm trying to decide if I want to run a Changeling only series of games or a hybrid of all the WoD meshed together. I'll figure it out soon. We are playing some Battletech right now, so there's time to learn the rules and decide.
Peace for now, D.

"The Weather outside is frightful..." & so is my mood! [Jun. 4th, 2006|02:35 am]
[mood | crappy]
[music |Just the sound of the rain outside...]

Testing... Testing... 1,2,3?
Well if anyone is out there don't be afraid to speak up...?
No?
Well alas. The show must go on! So here goes!

Enough of the advertisement interruptions! Here goes. My first time here and all.

Well today was pretty crummy in wrap up. The day started off bad after having just passed out the news that a good friend to a whole bunch of good people is in the hospital.
I was nearly late to work, I had a whole lot of cranky people to deal with literally, if you'll pardon the pun. I had last break which usually means I can go home a half hour early and get paid for it, but that was not to be. Instead I got stuck on over time. Got out late and was hungry. Found out the all night Dunkin Donuts didn't have anything in stock, they were hoping "to coast" until there delivery showed up.
Got home tried to make a fried egg sandwich and almost botched that, but had a quick recovery.
This is where I take a deep breath and remind myself "That no matter how bad I have it, there's always someone who has life worse than me", I know.
I'm usually not this uptight, but there's a few things going on. Such as the previously mentioned friend in the hospital. And then there's another friend who stretches themselves way to thin, in my humble opinion ( YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE )!! :)
Plus there's a few things in my own personal that I'm trying to straighten out.
Anyway, Thank you one & All for taking an interest in my spot here.
I'll try to make things interesting for anyone looking to come by frequently to semi frequently.
Peace goes to you all, D.
